Erica Morden Reg. PT 15698
Erica, the founder of Georgian Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy graduated from Brock University in 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology as well as McMaster University in 2013 with a Master’s of Science concentration Physiotherapy. Since this time, she has taken numerous post graduate courses resulting in multiple certifications. She is a Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Graduate, she has her Level II Manipulative Physiotherapy levels as well as additional concussion management training. She is GLA:D Canada (Goodlife Living with Osteoarthritis: Denmark) certified, and has just completed her course and is IMS GUNN (form of dry needling) certified.
Erica participates in student physiotherapy training as well as training provide by ROMP which helps educate prospective physicians about physiotherapy and how it further assists patients in restorative, preventative and rehabilitation physical growth and management.
Erica takes special interest in Osteoarthritis, headache management, pediatrics and sports injuries to name a few.
Erica was born and raised here in Penetanguishene, as such she enjoys helping people within our community achieve their physical well-being goals. Outside of work Erica enjoys hanging out with her family and friends boating, snowmobiling, hiking and playing outside at their farm throughout all seasons of the year!

Julie Smith Reg PT 12031
Julie returned to her hometown of Midland in 2003 after graduating from the University of Toronto with her master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Since that time she has practiced in hospital, retirement, long-term care, community/aquatic and clinical settings. She has participated as a part-time faculty member and remains active as an examiner with the School of Health and Wellness with Georgian College. Her passion for aquatic therapy often brings her to community/private pools in addition to providing mobile in-home and clinical care. Ongoing professional development is of great importance within each area of her practice.
Julie and her husband David enjoy; travel, physical fitness, stand-up paddle boarding, boating, motorcycling, snowshoeing and skiing. Their Chihuahua “Rita” is often an active participant!

Maggie has always had a keen interest in the sciences and quickly realized that she enjoyed sharing her knowledge as much as she did expanding her own. This naturally led her to attain a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Alberta in 2012. Maggie taught for several years before returning to school to explore an additional career in the alternative health care field.
Maggie studied at the accredited Georgian College Massage Program in Barrie and received her Advance Diploma with honours. She has gained experience in both wellness and impairment massage working with a variety of different demographics and pathologies. Through assessment, Maggie aims to create both a safe and effective individual treatment plan centered around your personal goals. She enjoys integrating a variety of techniques into treatment such as Swedish and deep tissue, joint mobilizations, hydrotherapy, and remedial exercise. With a background in education, Maggie is passionate about life long learning and staying up to date with the latest health and healing research.
In addition to massage, Maggie continues to teach within the community. She is a huge animal lover with two snuggly dogs of her own. In her free time she can be found spending time with her family and friends and enjoying all that the area has to offer such as boating, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Jake Cook B.A.(Hons)Kin, D.Ch - 210042
Jake, originally from Beeton, Ontario, grew up spending his summers at his family cottage in Parry Sound, enjoying all the beauties of Georgian Bay. A love for sports and a keen interest in athletic therapy, led Jake to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Honors specialization degree in Kinesiology from Western University. At Western, he represented the school as an athlete on the Men’s Varsity Rugby Team.
Upon graduation in 2018, Jake continued his education at the Michener Institute of Education in Toronto, Ontario; where he expanded his knowledge on athletic injuries and biomechanics by obtaining his Advanced Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences with specialization in Chiropody.
Jake has been trained to perform foot/ankle Soft-Tissue Surgical procedures, Therapeutic Injections, and prescribe Custom Foot Orthotics. Jake strives to improve the quality of his patient’s lives by aiming to ensure every treatment plan is individually tailored, with design based on a patient-centered care approach and evidence-based research. Brian Valentine
Brian graduated from Western University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. He continued at Western and completed his Master’s of Physical Therapy in 2015. Since then, Brian has completed courses in the Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling, BoneFit, Orthopaedics Manual Therapy Levels, APTEI, Embodia and Shift Concussion Management programs.
He has also completed additional training in Mulligan treatment techniques and TMJ management. Brian focuses on collaboratively setting treatment goals and developing a treatment plan that encourages the client to become an active participant in the rehabilitation process. Brian enjoys practicing physical therapy in his hometown.

Rachel Jorgensen Reg. Kin 15562
Rachel graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and became a Registered Kinesiologist in 2018. Rachel has worked in various clinical settings throughout the GTA however decided to head back north to work in her hometown. Rachel enjoys working will all individuals and assisting them in becoming the best and healthiest versions of themselves.
Recently, Rachel became GLA:D Canada (Goodlife Living with Osteoarthritis: Denmark) certified and is running classes in the community to help people increase their strength and mobility. She is also certified in measuring and fitting for custom and off the shelf braces. She has also teamed up with Team Canada’s ball hockey team and the Penetang Kings Jr. C hockey team as their trainer.
Outside of her clinic time Rachel enjoys spending time with her friends and family and hanging out at her family cottage. She loves all sports and mostly partakes in ball hockey, soft ball, hiking and wakeboarding throughout the summer and hockey and snowboarding during the wintertime.

Tracey Ormiston Reg. PT 15312
Tracey graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology (Hon). She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Western in 2012. Since then Tracey has been completing post-graduate courses in manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue, and taping.
Tracey is a Midland native, she is an avid 5-pin bowler, plays basketball, baseball, and volleyball. She uses her athletic experience as well as her continuing education to optimize treatment for her patients.

Quinn Sallows B.Sc.(Hons)Kin, D.Chiropody #210007
Quinn was born and raised in Simcoe County. He graduated with distinction from his Chiropody-specific training at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences apart of the University Health Network (UHN). Before becoming a Chiropodist, Quinn obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University, where he was also a part of the Hockey and Rowing team. Quinn’s favourite things to do at work include Soft Tissue Procedures such as removing stubborn ingrown toenails, assessing Sports Injuries, and correcting leg/foot biomechanics through strengthening and/or Custom Foot Orthotics. Quinn has taken additional continuing education in Manual Therapy Foot Mobilization Techniques and Cadaver Surgical & Injection Techniques.

Payton Murray BHK(Hons), D.Chiropody #210024
Payton graduated from the Michener Institute with an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody in 2021. Prior to attending Michener, Payton studied at the University of Windsor where she received an Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a specialization in Movement Science. She started playing hockey at a young age and played competitively until university, then continued to play senior hockey in her hometown of Stratford before moving up north. Payton has a passion for health, fitness & sports, and has worked as a certified personal trainer. Engaging in sports and as a personal trainer has allowed Payton to develop a vast knowledge in sports rehabilitation, biomechanics & lower limb injuries. Before joining Georgian Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy she worked at The Waterloo Foot Clinic & Think Feet Family Foot Clinic. At her previous practice sites Payton practiced full scope Chiropody, using her passion for helping others to create a personalized treatment plan for each patient to help alleviate pain & address all foot care needs. Payton has formed a firm grasp on therapeutic concepts ranging from pharmaceuticals and wound care to orthotics and soft tissue surgeries.
